Sometimes it’s not even about “something going wrong” in the family. It could be that certain patterns, like communication breakdowns, unspoken expectations, or unresolved tension, have been there for years and are just now becoming too heavy to carry.
Or maybe someone is stuck in the role of the peacemaker, the caregiver, or the “problem child,” and they’re starting to feel like they’ve lost their sense of self in the process.
Family can be our greatest support system, but it can also be a source of stress, especially if there’s conflict, strained relationships, or emotional wounds that haven’t been addressed.
And counselling offers a safe space to unpack all of that.
It helps people understand how these dynamics have shaped their behavior, reactions, and even their beliefs about themselves and, most importantly, how to start shifting those patterns in a healthier direction.
Whether it’s individual counselling, family therapy, or just starting to explore your own experience growing up, the goal isn’t to blame anyone, it’s to build awareness, find healing, and start creating relationships that feel safe and supportive.
Starting therapy can feel nerve-wracking, but knowing what to expect can ease the anxiety. Your first session is a chance to set personal goals, share relevant background, and get comfortable with the process.

You'll get the ball rolling by sending me a contact form so we can schedule a call that works on your schedule.

During our first call, you'll tell me a bit about yourself, your challenges, and we'll generally get to know one another.

If you think we'd be a good fit for one another, we can schedule a virtual counselling session.

If you would like to continue our sessions, I will put together an ongoing plan to help you meet your goals.

We'll regularly assess any treatment progress you've made and plan any next-steps to help you going forward.
